Winter Warmers and the hatching of something cool

It’s here at last! It may be a bit late due to the Covid-19 pandemic but our Winter Warmers reading programmes is ready to go and registrations are available on our website now.

We have a very exciting book event for kids as we celebrate the launch of the very cool The Nature Activity Book from our Aquarium's very own Rachel Haydon.

Over the last few weeks, we have been receiving submissions as part of the wider council annual plan consultation. One of the questions we sought feedback on was on whether Library should return to the Station Street site.  We received over 250 submissions and the many comments will help shape what happens next. Thank you to all who placed feedback.

A friendly reminder we are still in Alert Level 1 and the following services changes remain in place,

  • Reserve, reserve, reserve…All your reserves will be ready to collect, head to the shelf where they’ve been conveniently issued for you.
  • Three-month lending dates will apply to all items including Bestsellers and DVDs.
  • Continue using our eBooks and eAudio so we can attend to those in the community who have no online access.
  • If you have been ill during the past couple of weeks, keep your items at home. No hurry to return, there will be no late fees

Keep sending in your questions via Facebook, email and phone 8344140 and we will do our best to answer them as quickly as we can.

Kia Kaha to all. Please take care and be safe.
