Taradale Friends
There are three main purposes of the Friends of the Taradale Library Inc:
- To promote the library as a worthwhile community resource and information centre
- To be a support group of interested members of the public
- To offer practical support to the library
How Friends Assist the Taradale Library:
- Provide Volunteer Support To Library Staff
- Assist with Library Related Projects
- Serve on the Committee
- Assist with Social Events
- Assist with campaigns to Promote Libraries
Recent Projects
The Friends of the Taradale Library are proud to have been able to assist Taradale Library and the community by fundraising for the following projects:
Teens' Room furniture and technology- Picture book bins (14 units)
- Caterpillar - 4 units to hold books
- A revolving paperback stand
- Hexpod - workstation for 6 computers
- Carpet kids - 3 different items, 1 has the world explorer map
- Bean bags
- Puzzle display unit multi coloured
- Replacement X Box for Teens space
- Seat in front of Taradale library
