I love to travel, especially to the UK as I’m a huge Shakespeare fan. I enjoy crafts of many descriptions. I like to bake and my specialty is iced biscuits as in ‘The Biscuiteers Book of Iced Biscuits'.

My book of choice has to be anything with an assassin or a good fantasy plot. Being dyslexic, I was a reluctant reader as a kid but after finding the right books for me I’m very rarely without one. So now, I use that to help other reluctant readers find the right books for them, it’s a challenge but I’m up for it.

I have eclectic tastes in reading – love the mystery and thriller series (especially the Scandinavian authors). I'm always on the lookout for strange and interesting titles in the general fiction area. I have my favourite New Zealand authors – mainly fiction. I read non-fiction too, especially love the controversial subjects – as well as gardening and architecture and the odd biography. I have always loved books and reading and since finding my calling as a librarian, some years ago, have been able to indulge this addiction to my heart’s content.
