Welcome to the Library Catalogue. Here you can search for thousands of great books and other items housed in our Napier and Taradale libraries. Search by title, author, subject, or use the advanced search to find exactly what you’re looking for.
Reserve for Free!
You can now reserve books free of charge, just follow these five quick steps:
- Go to the ‘Search and Reserve’ box on our homepage (www.napierlibrary.co.nz), or the online catalogue at the library. Enter your favourite title or some keywords to search.
- Tick the box to select your choice, then click “Reserve Selections” in the menu bar.
- Enter your full library card number and PIN, along with your pick-up location. Don’t have a PIN? You can reset this on the login page on the website.
- We’ll send you an email to let you know that your book is ready to collect from your selected location.
- Pick your book up from the Collect & Go area, self-scan and enjoy!
Please allow two working days for our team to retrieve your book from storage (if not currently on loan).
Unsure about reserving online? Our friendly team are here to help and can search and reserve a book for you, just pop in to either Napier or Taradale library.
