Napier Libraries are excited to be able to provide access to eBooks and Audio Books through three different platforms, ePukaPuka (OverDrive), Wheelers (NZ), and Ulverscroft. OverDrive is an American company and ePukaPuka is a consortia of 15 Lower North Island Libraries using the OverDrive platform to provide access to both eBooks and Audio Books. Wheelers is a NZ based platform providing access to eBooks only. Ulverscroft Digital is a UK company specialising in unabridged audio books.
As emphasis in the future shifts from the physical to the digital, we envisage that this service will only continue to grow in accordance with community expectations.
Search for items;
ePukapuka - eBooks and Audiobooks; loan period 21 days, limit of 10 items at one time.
Wheelers - eBooks; loan period 21-28 days, limit of 5 eBooks at one time.
Ulverscroft - Audiobooks; loan period 28 days, limit of 5 Audiobooks at one time.
