October School Holiday Events!

Ranging from a guest storyteller and friends, to story time and crafts, book clubs, 3D printer workshops, short story and picture competitions there is something for everyone.

On our Big Spooky Day there are activities for all ages. Join in a Spooky Hunt to solve a mystery or listen to some spooky tales. There is also a Murder Mystery night in the Museum/Library for those aged 11 -16.

Murder Mystery Night 

Suitable for 11 – 16 year olds 

Something sinister has happened at the Napier Library! We need you on the case to help solve this mystery! Either register as a team or as an individual and we will create teams on the night. We will be on the lookout for clues to help you with the case! Online registrations essential

Eventfinda Graphic Short Story 780x336 v1 2SHORT STORY COMPETITION Suitable for all ages. Running over the two weeks of the holidays, your chance to be imaginative to write your own ‘Spooky’ themed short story. Limit to 500 words.  Enter via the form on the bottom of this page. 

LOCH NESS MONSTER PICTURE COMPETITION Suitable for all ages. Running over the two weeks of the holidays, get creative and draw the Loch Ness monster. Drop in your creation to either of the libraries or take a photo, and enter via the form on the bottom of this page.  and under the Children’s tab you will find a form to attach a photo of your creation. 

Eventfinda Graphic MinecraftMINECRAFT  Suitable for ages 5 + anyone under the age of 14 must be supervised by a caregiver/parent. A safe shared Minecraft world for kids. Participants will need to bring their own device with the lasts version of Minecraft pocket edition loaded on it. Taradale Library Saturday 26 September 2 -3.00pm
