The Travelling Tuataras have been bringing stories alive through music, art, and performance for over thirty years. Last year they were awarded the NZ Children’s Arthouse Foundation Award 2016 - The Artists Most Contributing to Children.
Come and see them perform at the local library.

Have you ever wondered what happens at the library when it’s closed? We will share our secret world with your teddy bear (or stuffed animal) at our Teddy Bear Sleepover. Only the toys will sleep over, not the children!

Chanelle & Friends
Tuesday the 18th of July, 10:30am, at the Taradale Library.
Join Chanelle — winner of the 2013 NZ Best Children's Song Award for If I Was a Fuzzy Buzzy Bumblebee — to celebrate the release of her new children's music album, The Little Green Turtle and Other Songs for Kids! Enjoy cupcakes, games, colouring in, plus a live musical performance.

Making Computer Games
Thursday the 20th of July, 1:00pm, at the Taradale Library.
Local game creator Anthony Flack has released games on multiple platforms including PC, Playstation, Xbox, and Steam. He comes in to answer our questions about game design, animation, and the indie gaming industry. We’ll get to play some of his own creations.
For years 10 and up.
We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

Join us for ‘Beary’ stories, crafts, and activities, plus a real bear hunt around the library.
