A sea of blues - the story behind Napier Library's new carpet
There is more to Napier library's new carpet than meets the eye...This week the carpet is rapidly flowing across the 2,500 sq. metre vastness of the two Library floors in glorious blue hues, redolent of the ocean. Jewel tones of turquoise, aquamarine, sapphire, and indigo are all there in a random design representing the sea. Deep ocean pools and the oxygen infused surf are both represented in the effect-a sea of blues, with the surf line subtly showing against the deeper “water”.
